What kind of anesthetic will I need?

How are scars removed?
One possible way of removing a scar, is to make an incision around it, often in an elliptical shape. Dr. Nuveen will then remove the scarred skin and close the incision with sutures. While this removes the scar, a smaller, less noticeable scar may form at the incision site.
What is the treatment for raised scars?
If you have a raised scar, Dr. Nuveen may use clinical exfoliation techniques or surgical tools to shave the scar down to an even plane with the surrounding skin. This will minimize its appearance.
